(More customer reviews)This Haurex is my 65th watch. I don't often write reviews, but I feel the need to do so for this one.
I'll start with its arrival. I received this watch in about 5 days. Not bad at all, considering that I am deployed overseas at the moment. The watch packaging is fairly nice, but I usually throw the packaging away and use one of my watch boxes anyways. It arrived in perfect condition, and was exactly what I expected, aside from a few minor details. I'll make this easy, with as few words as possible:
Pros: Screw-down crown, very detailed face with beautiful matte finish, second hand that sweeps over the date window, and unique number "font". Bold, but not overstated. Large, but not ridiculous. Very refined and worth every penny of MSRP. One thing that I like in particular are the obverse of the bands, "Haurex" is raised and repeated, giving is a Gucci or Louis Vuitton type of effect. It is obvious that a lot of attention to detail went into this watch during both design and manufacturing.
Cons: As good as this watch is, there are a couple of things that could use some attention; the indices should glow with the rest of the watch. The phosphorous used is VERY weak. I have watches that cost a fraction of this price that glow both brighter and longer. The bands are a bit too stiff. For this watch, black silicone may have been a better choice of material. The angles on the buckle are not very kind at all. They have a tendency to dig a bit at odd times.
Conclusion: Even with my minor complaints with the phosphorescence (or lack thereof) and the bands, it is still among my favorites. If you have large wrist and are looking to order this, it may be a good idea to plan on buying some bands for it. Or just go for the metal band version. I gave it 5 stars because I love it! I will just buy it new bands and continue loving it.
